Shot in 2011 from an unfinished penthouse of the Epic Condos, Miami Eyes gives a sweeping yet forlorn view of Miami after the construction boom in the mid-2000s. The cranes that once littered the skyline are now slowly creeping back into the sky. Shot numerous times over the course of a month to get the evening sky at the desired sublimity, Gouin’s desire for perfection in this photograph taxed the patience of the unit’s realtor.
